   Fright Nights Fearfestival 2020 In the age of COVID-19 any Halloween event going ahead must be applauded for its bravery and ability to work around major obstacles. Thorpe Park's Fright Nights has been a major part of the resorts year ever since it burst onto the scene in 2002 and has always relied on scare mazes to attract crowds. This year the pandemic has led to the park only being able to operate outdoor mazes, meaning for the first time since 2003 the event will run with two mazes. The park however has knocked it out of the park with several other non maze attractions which will make an appearance at the 2020 event. The event will run from the 9th of October to the 1st of November and opening times have been reduced by an hour to 10am to 9pm. Platform 15 (2016-)  Platform 15 has gone through many changes during its previous 4 seasons at the event, but its 5th may be the biggest. 2020 changes at Chessington

Chessington changes of 2020 I had my first visit to Chessington of the year on the 15th of March, also known as annual pass holders day and I was pleasantly surprised with how the park was. Before I get into the changes I just want to mention the amount of people in the event were much lower than last year making it much more bearable. I prefer a 20 minute queue for Vampire over a 180 minute queue for Room On The Broom! Any who here are the changes the park have made. Tomb Blaster After the 2002 dark ride had an appalling 2019 with lots of effects broken and the attraction seeming like a shadow of its former self. With no announcement or teasers going into Tomb Blaster and seeing the changes was a great surprise. There is new music greeting you straight away as you enter the area which is atmospheric, although I still prefer the previous version. Ranking of the Alton Towers rollercoasters       This blog ranks the Alton Towers rollercoasters from my least favourite to favourite. This list is completely my opinion and all my views are my own.  10. Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure  I do not think Octonauts is a bad coaster, it is just I am not part of it's target audience so it does not appeal to me. The theming is nice and I like the water effect as well as the well themed trains. 9. Spinball Whizzer Due to the fact of me not liking spinning coasters much Spinball Whizzer is my least favourite of the family coasters in the resort. The ride is intense in sections and has a great soundtrack, I also like the red and blue colour scheme used. 8. Runaway Mine Train This is my favourite powered coaster in the country and for good reason. The theming may lack in parts other than the station but the interaction with Katanga Canyon and Congo River Rapids makes up for that. My favourite...
