IAAPA 2019

IAAPA 2019 IAAPA 2019 has been and gone and I have had time to process my thoughts about it and write this blog about the show. All photos used are not mine and the original owners will be credited. Here are some of the highlights.  Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Probably the most anticipated coaster of 2020 is Busch Garden Tampa's new RMC coaster. With a height of 206ft and a speed of 76mph this is definitely a coaster to watch out for next year. At IAAPA the trains for this conversion were released. They received a lot of backlash but I personally like them especially the reptilian details along the side. (Photo credit- Coasterforce). Kings Island Orion is Kings Island's new B&M giga coaster, which is not a giga coaster. The trains were revealed and I have to say that I think this train is quite boring and shows no innovation. Although, yes it is a Cedar Fair park so lots of theming was not expected but I just expected more after good trains in the past. How

Ranking of the Alton Towers rollercoasters       This blog ranks the Alton Towers rollercoasters from my least favourite to favourite. This list is completely my opinion and all my views are my own.  10. Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure  I do not think Octonauts is a bad coaster, it is just I am not part of it's target audience so it does not appeal to me. The ride is intense in sections and has a great soundtrack, I also like the red and blue colour scheme used. 8. Runaway Mine Train This is my favourite powered coaster in the country and for good reason. The theming may lack in parts other than the station but the interaction with Katanga Canyon and Congo River Rapids makes up for that. My favourite section has to be the tu

Alton Towers Ultimate Fireworks Spectacular 8th, 9th and 10th of November 2019 I visited Alton Towers for one final time in 2019 on the 9th of November on the dreaded Fireworks Saturday, the only day of this event which hit capacity. Here is my review and recap of Alton Towers season closing event.  This was my second time visiting the Ultimate Fireworks Spectacular and was one of my favourite visits to the resort this season despite the crowds and bad weather. The event also had the reopening of Darkest Depths, the new family scare maze, which increased the parks capacity.  The day I visited it rained constantly from around 12am onward and you could understand if some of the rides went down but none of the major rides had any issues due to the weather, other than Th13teen which was down all day due to low temperatures. I got many rides done before 5pm when I started to wait for the firework show.  The lawn was extremely muddy on this day due to the rain meaning
