Christmas at UK theme parks

Image
Christmas at UK theme parks! Although the UK theme park season has ended many parks have reopened for December with a Christmas event! In this blog I will be telling you about five of the events I think you have to check out if you want to get a theme park fix in December!  Chessington's Winters Tail This event has been running for a few years now and in my opinion it is one of the best Christmas event in the country. This event is already running and runs up until the 6th of January 2020. There are many activities to do across the resort including meeting Santa and getting a present in Adventure Point as well as cookie decorating next to the Pizza Pasta Buffet. The event this year is marketed around the Julia Donaldson books The Gruffalo and Stickman meaning lots of activities are geared towards them including a Gruffalo show and pop badges. Select rides are open throughout the event including Vampire, The Gruffalo and Room On The Broom as well as the zoo being open.

All photos used are not mine and the original owners will be credited. Here are some of the highlights.  Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Probably the most anticipated coaster of 2020 is Busch Garden Tampa's new RMC coaster. With a height of 206ft and a speed of 76mph this is definitely a coaster to watch out for next year. At IAAPA the trains for this conversion were released. They received a lot of backlash but I personally like them especially the reptilian details along the side. (Photo credit- Coasterforce). Kings Island Orion is Kings Island's new B&M giga coaster, which is not a giga coaster. The trains were revealed and I have to say that I think this train is quite boring and shows no innovation. Although, yes it is a Cedar Fair park so lots of theming was not expected but I just expected more after good trains in the past. How
