Fright Nights 2022 Review

Fright Nights 2022 Review Fright Nights is back for a 21st addition of one of the UK's premier Halloween events. For 2022, the event boasts 10 attractions, 3 of which are brand new. Ahead are reviews of all the attractions which make up Fright Nights 2022.  Creek Freak Massacre is back for a 3rd and final season, under the moniker 'The Final Cut'. This maze was the beginning of the 'new era' of Fright Nights, where they started prioritising quality over quantity, but however this season, I think the maze was quite lacklustre. The story remains the same, focusing around the Buckwheats and the abandoned sawmill. The sets are still incredible, and incredibly claustrophobic, with lots of unique features, as well as classic maze features. However what let the maze down for me in 2022 was the lack of actors, usually this maze feels like its swarming with them, but this year it felt like there were lots of empty and blank points. The maze has had an incredible run and wil

Fright Nights Review 2021

Fright Nights Review 2021 Fright Nights celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021, and the event is running better than ever. Guests were treated to 10 attractions, including 4 new ones. 2020 saw scare zones become a key part of the event, and this is something that has been continued into 2021, however now accompanied by the return of indoor scare mazes, creating one of the most complete scare attraction line-ups in the country.        Creek Freak Massacre returned for 2021, after being absent in 2020. The maze remains very similar to the critically acclaimed 2019 version, with the route, storyline and positioning of actors unchanged for the most part. However this is not a criticism, due to the year off it still feels fresh and the multiple routes available mean no 2 run throughs are the same. The intensity of the maze feels less than previous versions, with dead spaces more common, however the design of the maze and how claustrophobic it feels makes the experience still feel thrillin

Fright Nights Fearstival 2020 Review

Fright Nights Fearstival 2020 Review If you asked me back in March if we would have Fright Nights at the end of the year I would have said no chance, but Thorpe Park have done it and the 19th rendition of the event is one of the best, despite the COVID restrictions. This years event included 8 attractions and strayed away from the usual 'Pack as many mazes in as you can' mantra that the event has had for the past few years with only 2 mazes, mainly down to the lack of indoor mazes as the park decided to only have outdoor ones for this year due to obvious reasons. Ahead are my reviews of all the attractions after experiencing them multiple times. Back for its fifth year, the maze has undergone major changes for 2020. The route is flipped around and the general creepy atmosphere remains. The tunnel now being the queue line, you start the maze like you always do with the tour guide taking you down a path explaining the Sleeper Express and conductor. They leave you and you now go

Fright Nights Preview 2020

Fright Nights Fearfestival 2020 In the age of COVID-19 any Halloween event going ahead must be applauded for its bravery and ability to work around major obstacles. Thorpe Park's Fright Nights has been a major part of the resorts year ever since it burst onto the scene in 2002 and has always relied on scare mazes to attract crowds. This year the pandemic has led to the park only being able to operate outdoor mazes, meaning for the first time since 2003 the event will run with two mazes. The park however has knocked it out of the park with several other non maze attractions which will make an appearance at the 2020 event. The event will run from the 9th of October to the 1st of November and opening times have been reduced by an hour to 10am to 9pm. Platform 15 (2016-)
